Can I let you in on a little secret?
We later moved to Idaho in the summer of 2020 just 2 months after we had our first child as my husband continued his education in medical school now fast forward we made the move to South Dakota for Mason's residency until 2027 and our final moved back to ND for good shortly following his completion in family medicine residency! We have three beautiful boys and a little one in heaven making us a family of six! Gosh, do I LOVE being a wife and a mother let me tell ya!
Woah, I'm going to need a little breather after saying all that! In short, I have been very blessed with the life the Lord has given me!
I am in my mid 20's and I was born and raised in North Dakota. My husband, Mason and I met in 2016 and started dating a few months later later during our time in high school, Spring of 2018 we got engaged and we got married the following year of 2019! In our first year of marriage, we traveled two weeks abroad in Europe walking the streets of thousands of years of history in Rome and explored the small towns near Swiss alps of Switzerland.

I’m Sarah, the dreamer + creator behind the merck estate but i couldn't of made it without the support of my family and Jesus' unwavering consistency.
The Merck Estate. A creative space allowing me to share the things I love with all of you while also learning new crafts along the way right there with you. From tips and tricks, inspiration, recipes, products I love, and so much more all while sharing my love for Christ and His Church and honoring Him through my vocation of marriage and motherhood. I wanted something that encapsulated all a home has to offer, multifaceted aspects but something still sophisticated and elegant, which led me to The Merck Estate! I have grand plans and big dreams for this space I have been pondering for years and I am beyond thrilled to begin those little by little.

When I was younger it wasn't quite evident Ito me that I had a artistic niche but in hindsight Jesus was revealing it slowly without me seeing it in the moment. Now years later, pondering back I saw the way Jesus gave me love of fashion, changing outfits a minimum of three times of day putting pieces together, growing up and a common passed time in our home was my mother taking us to thrift stores and garage sales every weekend in the summer that gave me a love of finding unique pieces to create a home, or my deep love for photography from a young age aiding me to withdraw from university and start a lifestyle and photography business I ran professionally and unprofessionally for over 7 years. My vocation of marriage and motherhood allowing all the things I have a passion for and interests in from homemaking, interior design, cooking/baking, photography, clean living, a wanna be hobby farmer, a lady who loves a good antique find, so much more leading me here, to this place.
I've always had a deep love for creativity, i just didn't always know it.
What is the merck estate?
After spending over four years discerning to close my photography business to create more flexibility our as our family continues to grow, we made yet another move for my husband's career in medicine, allowing my creativity to flow more spontaneous and lessen the contracted workload, I still had a deep love for the medium of photography and the other creative aspects of my life to seek the Good, True and Beautiful and wanting to share the things I love in one attainable space for myself and others whom choose to follow along. I knew the Lord gave me creative gifts to utlize in whatever means He was/is calling me in this very season and allowing me to do it right along side motherhood as I tend to our children and home.
I wanted in all one place for my ease and yours! So here you'll find blog posts, links and codes to products and so much more I have in store for this space in the years to come. Thank you for being here, I truly mean that.
